Second Harvest Food Bank Volunteer Day with Pioneer Pantry

Thanks for joining Pioneer Pantry for a day of volunteering with Second Harvest Food Bank of Southern Wisconsin in Madison. We are excited to give back and learn more about one of our major pantry partners! We will be volunteering from 8:30-11:30 AM followed by a tour of the food bank. Most vehicles will plan to stop for lunch before leaving the Madison area.

On October 17, we will leave UW-Platteville from Parking Lot 14 (map); this lot requires a Commuter/Faculty/Staff/Visitor parking permit, Parking Lot 16 is immediately adjacent and requires a Residence Hall parking permit. Please arrive early so we may leave precisely at 6:50 AM. There will be vehicles to ride in; however, you are welcome to drive on your own. If driving on your own, we ask you are prompt in your arrival so we can start our volunteer shift on time.

I have filled out an annual Pre Travel Form A- First Time Submission 2025-2026.

I have ordered a t-shirt if I choose to purchase one. (T-Shirt Fundraiser) Profits from t-shirt sales will help us give back and support Second Harvest Food Bank of Southern Wisconsin.

I will ride with the group.

I will drive myself.

We are traveling on a Friday during classes. Unfortunately, the food bank does not take weekend volunteers. If you think a letter to your professor would be helpful for excusing your absence, here is one to share for the classes you may miss. Per the Pioneer Involvement Center, the excuse of your absence is not guaranteed and dependent on each of your instructors/professors.
